Our cellar master distils this Calvados in a copper column still, from a selection of our organic ciders.
The brandy then ages for 8 years in Limousin oak barrels. It colours naturally over the years, with no added colouring.

On 10 August 1047, at Val-ès-Dunes, the rebel barons charge to the cry of 'Thor aïe!', Thor's help. This pagan war cry, inherited from the Vikings, echoes across the very land where our apple trees now grow. Thor Aïe is the second chapter of our range.
This bottle is part of a story: five cuvées that tell the Battle of Val-ès-Dunes (1047) and the rise of William the Conqueror, on the very land of the estate.
